Early Season Kickoff at Marmot!

The weekend will focus on getting comfortable on snow again, exploring the mountain with our coaches, and getting to know our teammates. It’s a great way to reconnect, build confidence, and ease into the season together! If you have an athlete competing this year, it is important that they attend this camp so they can gain some experience on features prior to the competition season.

Weekend Schedule

• Friday: Many families arrive Friday evening to get settled before an early start on Saturday.

• Saturday: Meet at 8:30 a.m. Team skiing from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

• Saturday evening: Team dinner—details TBA.

• Sunday: Meet at 8:30 a.m. Team skiing from 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

Athlete Requirements

Jr. FUNdamentalz

• A parent or guardian must ski with their child at all times during the weekend.

• Athletes must meet the minimum skills for their program: confidently snowplow down a green run and load and unload the chairlift.

FUNdamentalz

• A parent or guardian must be available to accompany their child until coaches have assessed their ski ability, if required.

All athletes must:

• Have a current CFSA membership.

• Be physically and mentally ready for two full days of skiing, with lunch and short warm-up breaks as needed. Coaches will choose a lunch time that works for their group. Athletes may bring their lunch or purchase from the hill.

• Have proper, correctly fitting ski equipment.

• Dress for changing mountain weather conditions.

We highly recommend bringing a boot and mitt dryer!

Lift Passes

Ages 12 and under: Marmot offers free skiing and free rentals for kids 12 and under all season, except December 19, 2026–January 3, 2027. Visit the ticket counter to get your free pass.

Ages 13+: Your Tawatinaw Valley season ski pass gets you 20% off lift tickets at Marmot.

Save Time in the Morning

Ticket counter lines can be long—and cold!

• If you arrive in Jasper before 8 p.m. Friday, you can pick up your RFID card at the Sales Centre on Main Street beside Tim Hortons.

• If you already have an RFID card, you can load your lift tickets onto it online before arriving at the hill.

The registration & cancellation deadline is November 27th. Please ensure you register as early as possible so we can arrange an appropriate number of coaches.
